Notice anything, umm . . . unconventional in the picture below?
No, I did not drink both of these bottles one night and forget where we put the recycle bin. This is an idea I found on Pinterest {if you don't know what this is look it up, it's amazing!}
Our plants do great in the morning and overnight and maintain moist soil very well, but once the blazing hot sun is up in the middle of the day we come home and it looks as though we haven't watered in weeks, when in reality it's only been a few hours.
This has science behind it, so of course my complete comprehension of this idea is a little fuzzy, but the general gist is when the soil is dry something to do with oxygen exchange occurs and the bottle releases water keeping the plants happy. I haven't tried this on anything other than the herbs yet, but they seem to be loving it!
