What have we done this weekend? Not particularly much. As I write this we're sitting here watching it snow like crazy enjoying the fact that no matter how much snow falls Eric won't have to go out and plow- thank you new job :)

| Chicken Tikka Masala- chicken in a yogurt & spice based sauce served over rice. |
Yesterday we had dinner with friends, and our friend Cody decided to do Indian food, specifically chicken tikka masala. Typically, I think "yum" when I hear what one of the guys has decided to cook. (Don't you love that I say when the guys cook?!) Indian though, didn't have the initial "yum" response. I've had Indian once before and it was with George when he came to visit. We ate Indian for lunch and he wanted Thai for dinner. I was stunned especially since the Indian we had was battling it out with my digestive track. Adding Thai sounded like the start of world war 3 would be commencing in my stomach. We of course got Thai for dinner because George always had a valid and convincing argument for whatever he wanted. After dinner I truly didn't know which meal was causing me more stomach trouble. Anyway, I digress and the point of that was to explain that I was a little hesitant about Indian.
It did, however, work out fine. It was actually really delicious and if Cody feels inclined to make Indian again he'll get a "yum" for sure!
As for our dinner contributions I made naan (Indian flat bread with a yogurt base) and Eric made vindaloo. The smell from the vindaloo is not very appetizing as it's filling your home just as an FYI. The taste was awesome though and we'd totally eat it again. Here's the recipe if anyone feels so inclined to give it a shot. Just light a vanilla candle while it cooks.
Today, we're being lazy, and you should know by now our lazy involves cooking in our pajamas. Here's what's on the docket: chili relleno ravioli and Starbucks knock off lemon breakfast bread. The chili relleno ravioli is an idea Eric came across at a restaurant with his friends while they were having his bachelor party. It was a menu item that intrigued him so therefore he must try to make it.He did not order the dish so he's making this blindly. I'm slightly skeptical, but he never disappoints with food so I'll let you know how it goes.
| What?. . . I'm comfortable! |
While we're lazy cooks Indy will be enjoying the snow the only way he knows how. . .
